Salamu’alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. 

I am Younes W.T Kamara, your new Dean of Discipline, Safety, and Culture. Alhamdulillah I am truly honored to join GIA as one of the administrative team members, and I am even more thrilled and excited to take the position of DDSC. 

My role at the school, along with many other duties, is to foster a safe Islamic environment at school and ensure the safety of all students and staff. To do that, I will ensure regular safety drills and guide student behavior, assisting teachers with classroom management. 

I believe that Islamic education should be nurtured by compassion, mercy, and kindness as exemplified by our noble Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. I encourage myself, our students, staff, and parents to strive to implement the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah upon the understanding of our pious predecessors: "Verily what rectified the first generation of Muslims is what will rectify the last generation of Muslims." 

I look forward to partnering with all of our community in sha Allah.
