Mrs. Kathy Herrington

Ms. Kathy returned to GIA as our new principal.

She has been a teacher for over a decade, shaping the minds of her students from grades in Kindergarten up to Middle School, as well as Adult ESL.
She inspires those around her.
She is highly dedicated to the service of Allah.
She understands that her relationship with her students, teachers, and staff are an amana in which she will be held accountable.
She has tirelessly worked throughout the summer in order to make this year, her first year as principal, a successful one.

What to expect from your new principal...

Ms. Kathy has high expectations for her students, teachers, and staff.

She expects that all students will show progress throughout the year.
She expects that all students will be given the tools necessary in order to have a successful year.
She expects that she will will have the support from her teachers, staff, the school board, parents, and the community.
She expects that we will undertake our tasks with the thought that we will do for others as we would want them to do for ourselves and our children.
