I was born in Senegal and grew up in NYC. I love to read. I always connect my reading goals to the first verse that was revealed to prophet Mohamed (SAW) which is “Read: In the name of your Lord Who created” 96:1. Literature allows me to help my students understand that everything they read is connected to more than one subject. Books take students to places that they never imagined.
