DRESS CODE
We realize that each student is an individual who makes choices about their dressing and grooming. To maintain a positive learning environment and to encourage development of positive self-esteem, we ask that each student come to school dressed in their school uniform and groomed in an appropriate manner.
The following items are not allowed:
flip-flops
opened-toed shoes
shoes with high heels
jewelry
make-up
All GIA students are required to dress according to the school dress code depicted below.
Parents keep in mind, that al students perform salat during school hours, and all girls should be covered according to the sunnah for salat.
Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Girls: Blue jumper/abaya and hijab.
Boys: Black pants and light blue top.
Jackets or tops over uniform must be black, gray, or blue.
6th through 8th Grade
Girls: Black abaya and hijab.
Boys: Black pants and yellow top.
Jackets or tops over uniform must be black, gray, or blue.
