• I am a revert to Islam, born and raised in New York and New Jersey and now reside in Greensboro, NC. 

• I have been married for 27 years with two sons who recently got married. 

• My youngest is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer and my oldest is studying to be in Education. 

• I am very active in charity with the community at large. Also I am involved in different businesses.

•  I am a co- owner of a Non Profit organization, called Al Shurah Community Resources (ASCR), a social group called Halaqah4you (H4U) for new shahadas, business networking organization called Convey the Message Marketing and partner of three, for Muslim Glamping Squad (MGS) all targeting to aid in bettering our community. 

• However I found my true love in teaching. I was introduced to teaching through GIA in 2017. 

• I got my experience within the charter schools network and I have returned with experience back to GIA. 

• I have 8 years experience as a teacher from 3rd Grade, to Middle School and plan to continue growing my education in teaching with a PhED in Education.
